Ah yes, the omelette. One of the easiest and also one of our favorite recipes to create. It makes a great breakfast, is fluffy & piping hot, and only takes about a minute or two to make from start to finish. Although you can fill the omelette with just about anything, we’re keeping it simple today. And the best part is; once you get really good at making omelets, feel free to run wild filling it with anything you choose! The omelette is your culinary blank canvas, ready to host tons of ingredients, flavors and fresh vegetables alike.
2 eggs, feeling hungry? Make it 3!
Crack each egg open in a small bowl.
Whisk the eggs together with a fork or whisk until the mixture looks like above, with the yolks and whites fully combined.
The view from above.
Pour the egg mixture into the heated, greased, non-stick skillet, let the bottoms firm up, add the cheese, fold the omelette over…
Let that cheese melt for even better, gooey flavor.
Make sure to serve the omelette hot! And now you know how to make an omelette! Enjoy!
- 2 eggs
- 1 slice cheddar cheese
- 1 tsp butter
- pinch of salt and pepper
- Crack the eggs in a small bowl, add pinch of salt and pinch of pepper, and whisk them together until the egg whites and egg yolks are completely combined together.
- Heat the butter in a non-stick frying pan on a medium low heat until melted. Make sure butter coats entire frying pan with rubber spatula.
- Pour the egg mixture into the pan and allow to cook all the way through lifting pan slightly so curds in center pile towards outsides of the pan forming a firm bottom with the top still looking a little wet.
- Cut the slice of cheese in half and place each half on one half side of omelette. Fold other half of omelette over with spatula to create a half moon sealing the cheese and cook for a few seconds to let cheese melt. Serve and eat immediately.
