Inspired by Chipotle’s guacamole recipe, this easy to make guacamole dip is sure to be a hit at parties, family barbeques, and everything in between. This is the best avocado dip when you use the freshest ingredients. Serve with chips, pita, or on the side with tacos. Make sure to use two ripe avocados that soften when you behind to squeeze them, but not too soft, otherwise they are rotting or brown inside. Also make sure they are not too hard because then they are not ripe enough and will taste bitter. Go easy on the onion as well, you can always add, but this is much tougher to subtract.
- 2 ripe Hass avocados
- 2 tsp lime juice
- 2 tbsp cilantro (chopped)
- 1/4 cup red onion (finely chopped)
- 1/4 tsp kosher salt
- 1 tbs pico de gallo
- Scoop pitted avocados and place in a medium bowl.
- Toss and coat with lime juice.
- Add salt and using a fork mash until a smooth consistency is achieved.
- Fold in cilantro and red pepper
- Add seasoning as necessary
- top with pico de gallo
