Easy Banana Nut Bread Recipe
Ingredients
- 1⁄2 cup butter (1 stick)
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 eggs (beaten)
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1⁄4 cup milk
- 2 cups flour
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1⁄2 chopped pecans or 1⁄2 cup walnuts (optional)
Instructions
NOTE: For the best tasting bananas place them in your freezer until the skin turns black. IT IS OK TO EAT! You will get the sweetest ripest bananas for your recipe and they will be the easiest to use and mix with.
- Cream butter & sugar in a mixer until fully combined.
- Add vanilla & eggs and continue mixing.
- Combine dry ingredients and add to mixture, continue mixing
- Add bananas & milk, continue mixing.
- Add nuts if desired.
- Grease 1 large bread pan or 2 smaller bread pans.
- Add mixture to the pan.
- Bake at 350 for 45-60 minutes.
- Remove and let cool for an hour.
NOTE: This is easy to overbake or underbake depending upon your oven (everyone’s is different). Test the feel of the bread with a toothpick in the middle of the bread at 45 minutes. If it’s nice & firm, it’s ready to take out and cool, if not put it in for another 15 minutes and test it again. If it’s not done yet, keep it in for another 15.
